Barrio Table | Vancouver, BC

In addition to the spatial design and site planning I produced during my time at Studio Meanwhile, I also worked closely on product design and development. Products I worked on include the Urban Heart/Petal, Wavy Blocks, Woonerf Table, and most notably, the Barrio Table.
 
The Barrio Table was a new product that I designed and worked very closely on from conceptualization all the way through manufacturing. It is a pair of tables, inspired by the classic picnic table form, that can be seamlessly joined in various configurations to create surface and seating to suit any space and use case. Public space and what it is used for is constantly changing and evolving. These tables are meant to change along with it and be the meeting place for everyone, whether it's a picnic date for two, a family feast for 6 or a town hall meeting for 20, the barrio tables morph to make sure everyone has a seat at the table.
